Man killed in seaside park attack

A man in his late forties has died after being attacked in a park at a seaside resort.

A 44-year-old woman has been released on bail in connection with the killing at Victoria Park, Paignton, Devon.

Specialist officers carried out a detailed examination of the scene after the incident on Friday lunchtime.

Devon and Cornwall Police have urged anyone who was in the area at the time to contact them. The victim died at the scene.

Superintendent Chris Singer said: "First aid was attempted at the time but that proved not to be successful. A female was arrested close by."
