Detectives investigating the shooting of a Plymouth businessman are appealing for information about a car believed to have been used in the attack.
The silver Renault Clio was found burned out after the incident. It had been stolen in a previous burglary and its registration number changed.
Colin Pester, 61, is in a stable condition after being shot at his home in Plymouth's Lancaster Gardens.
Four men have been arrested in connection with the April shooting.
Police are also keen to hear from anyone who may have seen two men running across a footbridge into Duncombe Avenue, Plymouth, on the night of April 30, around the time the car was set alight.
One of the men is described as about 6ft 3ins and carrying a rucksack. The other man who was shorter and wore a dark vest.
During the attack Mr Pester was pistol-whipped and shot in the stomach. Valuable jewellery was also stolen.
The businessman runs a car dealership in the Mutley area of Plymouth and neighbours said the home he shares with his wife, son and daughter, has been broken into on a number of occasions.
Of the four men arrested, three have been bailed until 7 July. A 25-year-old man has been bailed until 16 June.
There are about 60 police officers working on the investigation.
