Crew releases boy locked to fire

Firefighters were called to a house in Devon to release a 10-year-old boy who was attached to a fireplace by a bicycle lock.

Crews arrived at the property in Plympton to find the boy with the lock around his waist. The lock was attached to the fire - which was not on.

The crew released the boy, who was not injured in the incident.

A Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said the incident was the result of a "brotherly prank".
