Driver, 87, dies in truck crash

An 87-year-old driver has died following a crash in Devon.

The man, from Torquay, was in a Ford Fiesta when it was in a collision with a truck on the A380 at Newton Abbot at lunchtime.

A woman passenger in the car was taken to hospital with serious injuries, said Devon and Cornwall Police.

Police said the road was closed at Aller layby while the vehicles were recovered from the junction of Moor Park Road.
