Police have asked for witnesses to come forward after a number of youngsters across the city were targeted on Friday and over the weekend.
The first four incidents all happened on Friday afternoon and evening.
The girls aged between seven and 15 were approached by men who either tried to grab them, offered them a lift home, or made vulgar remarks to them.
Rude comments
Just after 1500 BST on Friday a 10-year-old girl was approached by a man in Pennycross who offered her a lift home in his car, which she declined.
An hour later in Southway a man described as 18-20 years old approached a 14-year-old girl and her friend near Langley Infants School.
He made a rude comments to them before asking them to get into his silver car
Another teenage girl was approached in Widewell Road, by a man described as 25-years-old with fair hair and a local accent.
At 1930 BST a man leapt out of bushes in Keswick Crescent in Estover at a seven year old girl and said: "Why don't you come home with me."
He is described as in his 60s, wearing dark clothes. The girl ran home.
A similar incident happened 24hrs later in Plympton and on Sunday evening a 14-year-old girl fought off a man who tried to push her into a wooded area on Bodmin Road in Whitleigh.
This man is described as in his 40s with greying dark hair and was wearing a cream-coloured fleece.
Plymouth Police said: "These kind of incidents are rare which is why we are keen to identify the person or persons responsible."
