Biker killed in collision on bend

A 50-year-old motorcyclist was killed in north Devon when his machine was involved in a collision with a car.

The incident happened on a bend of the A377 at Fishleigh Barton near Umberleigh on Saturday afternoon.

The rider, from the Umberleigh area, was on a green Triumph motorcycle and was declared dead at the scene. The woman car driver suffered shock.

Another motorcyclist was seriously injured in a collision with a car near Beechlea Winkleigh on Sunday.
