Tanker-lorry crash driver named

Picture courtesy of South Molton & District News A lorry driver who was killed in a crash with a sewage tanker in Devon has been named.

Keith Ashelford, 48, from Witheridge was driving a cattle lorry which collided with a tanker on the B3137 at Alswear, South Molton.

He was declared dead at the scene on Thursday morning.

The tanker driver, who is aged 36, was airlifted to hospital with serious injuries. Another person is also being treated.

Diversions were in place for several hours.
