Man killed in tanker-lorry crash

Picture courtesy of South Molton & District News A lorry driver has been killed in a crash with a sewage tanker in Devon.

The road was closed after the accident between a cattle lorry and the tanker on Thursday morning on the B3137 at Alswear, South Molton.

The lorry driver was declared dead at the scene, and a 36-year-old tanker driver was airlifted to hospital with serious injuries.

Another person is also being treated. Diversions are in place and motorists are asked to avoid the area.
