Three hurt in car fire accident

Three people were taken to hospital after their cars collided and caught fire in east Devon.

A witness to the two-car crash on the A3124 near Winkleigh called emergency services shortly before midnight on Saturday.

Crews and two fire engines were sent from North Tawton and Chulmleigh to put out the car fires.

Three people were treated by ambulance staff at the scene with oxygen and then taken to hospital.
