Motorcyclist, 31, killed in crash

A 31-year-old motorcyclist has died in hospital after he was severely injured when his bike left the road in Exeter.

The man, from the Honiton area, came off his 1000cc Suzuki at a bend on the A379 near the Sandygate roundabout just before 1330 BST on Sunday.

No other vehicles were involved in the crash on the road from the direction of Countess Weir.

The motorcyclist received multiple injuries and died later at the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital.
