Cash taken in post office robbery

Two men made off with what is said to be a substantial amount of money, in a robbery on a north Devon post office.

The two entered Abbotsham Post Office at Bideford at about 1830 BST on Saturday and got the cash after threatening the staff.

They then made off from in what was witnesses described as a dark-coloured vehicle in the direction of Abbotsham's Big Sheep theme park.

No-one was injured in the robbery. Police have appealed for witnesses.
