The cost of cleaning glass from a public swimming pool in Derbyshire could top £5,000, officials have said.
Ashbourne swimming pool was forced to close on 25 June after a customer dropped a glass object and shards got into the water.
Derbyshire Dales District Council said the pool had been drained, cleaned and was being refilled and reheated.
The council apologised for the disruption to users and said the pool was expected to reopen on Monday.
Officials said schools had missed sessions at the pool but insisted safety was their priority.
