Biker dies after city collision

A biker died after his machine was in collision with a vehicle in Derby at the entrance to a car park.

Derby Police said the rider of the Kawasaki machine suffered multiple injuries in the crash on Abbey Street on Wednesday evening.

The rider, a 40-year-old local man, was taken to the Royal Derby Hospital for treatment but later died.

Officers want to speak to anyone who saw the crash involving the bike and a Nissan Micra car.
