Cyclist killed in car collision

A cyclist has died after a collision with a car on a Derbyshire road.

The collision between the cyclist and a blue Volkswagen Passat happened at the junction of Windermere Avenue and Deepdale Avenue, Kirk Hallam.

The cyclist, who has not been identified, was taken to the Queen's Medical Centre, Nottingham where he later died.

Police have asked anyone who witnessed the incident on Wednesday morning to contact them.
