A pig had to be rescued by firefighters after it got lost in thick fog and ended up in a canal in Derbyshire.
Crews were called to the canal at Stenson Bubble, near Sinfin, Derby at about 0415 BST.
Working with an RSPCA officer, the firefighters managed to put a collar on the animal and used lines to bring it out of the water.
They also managed to rescue two other pigs which were found standing on a nearby bank.
'Blue with cold'
Officers used picnic tables to herd them together and make a temporary pen until the farmer came to collect them.
Fran Whitten from the RSPCA said the pig had been in the water for about an hour before she arrived at the scene.
"The pig's head was underwater when I arrived. I laid on the jetty and held the pig by her ear while they (fire officers) managed to put straps under her.
"I'm really grateful to the fire and rescue officers because without their help I couldn't have saved her... I'm so pleased we managed to save her.
"She was blue with cold and very stiff but I'm just so pleased she was still alive."
