A £110m business park in Derby could turn a residential road into a busy access route, residents have said.
The development at Sinfin Moor in Chellaston would consist of industrial, warehouse and office space and could create 4,000 jobs.
But people living on Holmleigh Way said it would become the main road in and out and increased traffic would affect their quality of life.
They want the city council to rethink the plans at a meeting next week.
Gary Crisp, who lives on Holmleigh Way, said the plans has increased in scale and this would mean far larger vehicles.
Proper consultation
"It is basically going to be very, very noisy, it is going to generate a lot of vibration.
"There is going to be queuing, and queuing means the generation of fumes from vehicles. It is just going to be a nightmare."
Developers said the scheme had gone through a full consultation programme and the 168-acre site is landscaped to reduce its impact.
The business park is a joint project between Wilson Bowden Developments and Miller Birch.
If given planning permission the park could be open by 2010.
