Cooling towers demolition delayed
Plans to demolish a prominent south Derbyshire landmark have been delayed after a manufacturing fault was found on the detonator.
The six remaining cooling towers at Drakelow Power Station were due to be demolished in a series of controlled explosions on Wednesday night.
A new gas fired power station is to be built on the site.
Power company Eon, which owns the site, is hoping to rearrange the demolition for as soon as possible.
