Cyclist collision driver sought

Police are looking for a driver who failed to stop after knocking a 12-year-old cyclist off his bike in a Lake District town.

The boy was travelling home from Queen Katherine's school on Appleby Road in Kendal when he was hit by the car on Monday afternoon.

Paramedics attended the scene and he was treated for minor injuries.

A Cumbria Police spokeswoman said the car was pulling a trailer. Any witnesses are urged to come forward.
