Traditional features in an historic Carlisle park will be restored after it was awarded £869,000 for improvements.
The Heritage Lottery Fund is handing over the money to Chance's Park in Morton later.
The park was donated to the city by Sir Robert Chance who was an industrialist and mayor in the 18th Century.
The money will also help improve facilities at the park and go towards protecting the trees, some of which are more than 300 years old.
Stephen Boyce, from the Heritage Lottery Fund, said: "I think one of the key things about this project is the amount of community spirit, the park is well loved.
"It has a great group, Friends of Chances Park which is very active and they work very hard, they value it very highly and that made a real difference."
