About 1,800 properties in a Cumbrian town were left without electricity after a high voltage cable fault.
Customers lost power in the centre of Maryport, after the problem occurred on Friday morning.
United Utilties restored supplies to 200 quickly, with the rest being reconnected shortly after midday.
A company spokesman said the areas affected included the town's Senhouse Street, Curzon Street, Fleming Street and Camp Road.
The spokesperson said: "A fault on a high-voltage cable affected supplies to customers around the centre of Maryport.
"We apologise to all our customers in Maryport for the interruption."
