Police hunt street sex attacker

Police in Cumbria are hunting a sex attacker who assaulted a woman in the early hours of New Year's Day.

The 39-year-old victim was walking along James Street in Workington, when she was attacked from behind and indecently assaulted.

Police said the attacker was wearing a dark coloured tracksuit and a scarf which covered his face.

Detectives have so far not linked the incident with a spate of sex attacks in the town last year.
