Street market celebrates Dickens
Mulled wine will be in full flow in Ulverston this weekend as the town stages its Dickensian Festival.
The Victorian-themed street market is now in its 10th year and visitors and locals will don top hats and voluminous skirts to celebrate the event.
Last year an estimated 24,000 people turned out to peruse the craft stalls and Victorian-themed entertainments.
This year's special guest is Gerald Dickens, the great, great grandson of author Charles Dickens.
He will be town all weekend and perform his one man show at The Coronation Hall on Saturday.
Entertainment also includes a Victorian flea market and Punch and Judy shows.
