Teenager punched in street attack

A teenager suffered facial injuries when she was kicked and punched to the ground by two women in a street attack.

Police said there was a row between the victim and her assailants, before she was set upon. The girl was left with bruising to her face and body.

The assault happened in the early hours of Sunday as the 16-year-old victim was walking along Slater Street in Walney.

Her attackers were both slim, about 5ft 6in tall and with blond, shoulder-length hair.
