Fashion tribute for crash victim

Kelly Gourlay

A charity fashion show is to be held in memory of a woman who died following a car crash in Cumbria.

Kelly Gourlay, 24, from Carlisle died in hospital in Newcastle three days after the collision on the A66 in June.

Her friends have organised a fashion show, which will feature a number of Carlisle United players including Miss Gourlay's boyfriend Peter Murphy.

The show will take place at Carlisle Racecourse on Wednesday and money raised will go to local charities.

Dawn Sherrard, Miss Gourlay's friend and one of the organisers of the event, said: "She lit up a room when she walked in, and everyone loved her.

"She will never be forgotten and things like this are fantastic for keeping her memory alive. She'd be really proud of this, she'd be laughing."
