Traffic affected as road upgraded

Drivers are to face disruption when work begins resurfacing roads in a busy town in the Lake District in Cumbria.

Signs warning drivers have been put up in Keswick ahead of the work which begins on Thursday, for a week.

Roads that will be closed during the work include Crosthwaite Road, High Hill and Penrith Road.

Cumbria Council Council said roads would be closed off one at a time and diversions would be in place throughout the work.
