Woman's body found in house fire

Police and fire crews are investigating after the body of a woman was found in a house blaze in Cumbria.

Emergency services were called to Moss Bay Road in Workington on Monday night, by neighbours who heard the fire alarm.

The body of an elderly woman was recovered from the property, which was well alight.

An investigation into the cause of the blaze is under way, but a police spokesman said it was not believed to be suspicious.
