Boy, 15, charged over stab attack

A 15-year-old boy and a 33-year-old man have been charged after a man was stabbed in the neck and face.

Police said the 22-year-old victim was attacked in King Street in Wigton, Cumbria, on 15 August.

The teenager is charged with wounding and possession of a bladed weapon. The man is charged with wounding, witness intimidation and motoring offences.

A Cumbria Police spokesman said the pair were due to appear before magistrates in Carlisle on Thursday.

The victim is recovering at home after being treated in hospital.
