Man injured in taxi cab dispute

A man needed facial surgery after being assaulted in a dispute with another man over a taxi in Cumbria.

The attack happened when an argument broke out between the men in New Road, Kendal, in the early hours of Sunday.

The 26-year-old victim underwent surgery for serious facial injuries in Westmorland General Hospital.

Police want to speak to the taxi driver who drove the victim and his girlfriend to the hospital and another cab driver who was in the area at the time.
