Men held over gagged driver raid

Three men have been arrested over a robbery in which a female delivery driver was bound and gagged before being locked in a freight container.

The 53-year-old was making a delivery to Rexel Senate Ltd in Moresby Park, Whitehaven, Cumbria, when her van was targeted on 16 July, police said.

She was found shocked, but unhurt by colleagues the next day.

Three men, aged 47, 22 and 18, were arrested on suspicion of robbery following police raids in Blackpool.

They have been taken to Workington police station and will be questioned by officers on Tuesday.
