Teenager punched in street attack

A teenager suffered facial injuries when he was attacked while enjoying a night out in a Cumbrian town.

The 19-year-old victim had just come out of a pub with his girlfriend when he was set upon in Dalton Road, Barrow, on Saturday night.

Cumbria Police said he was repeatedly punched in the face in the attack and needed hospital treatment.

His assailant was aged about 35 years, and was skinny and bald. Police are appealing for witnesses.
