Body found in missing woman hunt

Emergency teams searching for a missing Cumbrian woman have recovered a body from the River Derwent at Workington.

Agnes Marshall, 84, from Seaton Park, was last seen at Calva Brow on Saturday evening as she walked into Workington town centre.

Cumbria Police mounted an extensive search in and around the town.

A force spokesman said the body was discovered in the River Derwent in the Barepot area. No-one else is being sought in connection with the incident.
