Body confirmed as missing walker
The body of a man discovered in Cumbria is that of a walker missing for more than a month, police have revealed.
David Winder, 75, from the Hilton area of Appleby, was last seen going out for his regular walk on 22 March.
Despite several cave and mountain searches no trace of him was found, until a walker discovered his body at Christy Bank, near Appleby on Saturday.
A post-mortem examination is due to be carried out on Wednesday, Cumbria Police said.
