More than 750 Roman coins found in south Warwickshire may be declared as treasure trove.
The 773 Republican denarii and Imperial denarii coins were found in a white pot at an unnamed site last year, Coventry and Warwickshire Coroners' Office said.
The coins have a high silver content and the earliest date from 206 to 219 BC, the office said.
Coroner Sean McGovern will hold an inquest on 21 July to deem whether the hoard of coins is treasure trove.
A treasure trove inquest is held to establish who found an artefact and when and where it was discovered.
The coroner, guided by experts, will decide if the find constitutes treasure under the Treasure Act 1996.
The inquest will open at Leamington Spa Town Hall on The Parade, at 1000 BST.
