Green waste collections suspended

Green waste will not be collected in Coventry in December and January.

Collections continued last December and January but the amount for both months was the same as in the last week in October, Coventry City Council said.

The authority claimed it did not make environmental sense to send out vehicles for the two months.

Anyone with green waste has been advised to take it to the public waste recycling and disposal facility or compost it themselves.

Collections will restart in the first week of February.
