Pedestrian, 83, dies after crash

An 83-year-old woman has died after being hit by a car in Warwickshire.

The woman, from Leamington Spa, was hit by a Ford Fiesta as she walked in Rugby Road, Cubbington, at about 1930 GMT on Tuesday, Warwickshire Police said.

West Midlands Ambulance Service said she suffered head, arm and leg injuries and her condition on arrival at hospital was critical.

She died in hospital on Tuesday night. The 38-year-man driving the car was not injured. Police appealed for witnesses.
