Second MoD contract nets 50 jobs

The Coventry-based firm NP Aerospace Ltd has won its second multi-million-pound defence contract in two months.

Managing director Roger Medwell said the latest order would create at least 50 new jobs at its Foleshill Road site.

The £80m Ministry of Defence (MoD) order is for a new armoured vehicle for use by British troops in Afghanistan.

The contract follows a £60m MoD order in September to build more improved Mastiff armoured vehicles used by British troops in Iraq and Afghanistan.
