Fire put out at ex-Peugeot site

The burning ex-Peugeot offices in Coventry

A fire that started late on Saturday night at a disused Peugeot building in Coventry has been put out.

At its height about 75 firefighters were needed to tackle the blaze and 10 were still damping down at the scene on Monday morning.

Fire officers said the derelict building in Aldemoor Lane was so badly damaged it had been demolished.

The cause of the fire has not been established and is being investigated by the site's owners.
