Pedestrian killed in coach crash

A pedestrian was killed when he was hit by a coach in Warwick.

The crash happened on Europa Way, near its junction with Olympus Avenue, just before 2000 BST on Monday.

An ambulance service spokesman said: "When crews arrived they found a man who was unconscious and had suffered very serious injuries."

It was not possible to save the man who was sadly confirmed dead at the scene, he added. The coach driver was treated for shock and taken to hospital.

A woman passenger was treated for a knee injury but did not need hospital treatment.
