Jury goes out in baby death trial

The jury has gone out in the case of a man accused of murdering his girlfriend's baby son.

Cameron Wootton was 10 months old when taken to hospital in Coventry with serious head injuries in May last year. He died two days later.

Doctors found Cameron had a fractured skull and bleeding behind his eyes.

Ryan Ledger, 20, of Wigston Road, Walsgrave, Coventry, who made the 999 call from his girlfriend's house, denies killing the baby.

The jury has been sent home for the night and will resume deliberations on Tuesday.
