Extra time to quiz M40 suspects

Gerry Tobin Police looking into the murder of a biker shot dead on the M40 have been given more time to question three suspects.

Gerry Tobin, 35, who had been living in London, was shot as he rode home from a biker festival on 12 August.

The men were arrested in Coventry and Milton Keynes on Wednesday morning on suspicion of conspiracy to commit murder.

Officers have been given 12 more hours to question them.

Four men have been charged with Mr Tobin's murder and are currently remanded in custody.

Bulldog Bash

A 44-year-old was arrested at his home address in Alderman's Green, Coventry and a 45-year-old was arrested on a narrow boat moored on the Coventry Canal, near Alderman's Green.

The third, aged 52, was arrested by Thames Valley Police officers, in Milton Keynes.

Mr Tobin, of south London, died as he rode home from the Bulldog Bash bikers' festival, held at Long Marston airfield, near Stratford-upon-Avon, Warwickshire.
