Up to nine people chased a man in Coventry before he was robbed.

The 28-year-old was walking down Foleshill Road when he was chased by the group and then attacked near the crest of a canal bridge.

The man suffered a broken jaw and nose and also fractured ribs in the incident in the early hours.

A wallet, phone and top-up phonecard were taken. Two of the group involved in the incident on 18 September are believed to have been women.
