Two escape car driven into canal

Two men were in a car that swerved to avoid an oncoming vehicle and ended up in a Warwickshire canal.

The pair escaped uninjured after the car left Cathiron Lane, near a bend at All Oaks Wood, near Brinklow, and plunged into the Oxford Canal.

The 21-year-old Coventry man driving the Vauxhall Corsa and his passenger escaped from the car shocked and wet.

The Corsa was left partially submerged in the water. A Peugeot travelling in the opposite direction did not stop.
