Three men have been arrested after police discovered a "large number" of cannabis plants being grown at a house near Padstow, Cornwall.
Officers visited the address in the Portcothan Bay area on Sunday 4 January.
Three men, aged 35, 27 and 32, were later arrested and were due to be questioned.
Devon and Cornwall police have been searching the premises where the plants were found.
A nearby resident, who asked not to be named, said the house had been empty for several months after the previous occupants moved out.
She said she was "astonished" at what was found by police.
"I had my suspicions but I didn't really expect anything like it," she said.
"It's unbelievable what was inside."
She said she was "relieved" the plants had been found and were being destroyed.
