Teenager dies after bike accident

A teenage boy has died after the motorbike he was riding crashed on a Cornish road.

Stefan Trudgion, 17, from St Austell, was confirmed dead after undergoing surgery at the Royal Cornwall hospital in Truro, police said.

His 15-year-old pillion passenger has been transferred to Frenchay Hospital in Bristol, where his condition remains serious.

The accident happened on Gover Road, St Austell, at about 0115 GMT on Tuesday.
