Three rescued from capsized boat

Three people were rescued after their speedboat capsized off the coast of Cornwall.

Falmouth Coastguard was alerted on Saturday by people who saw the 15ft (4.5m) boat in difficulty at Gun Point, near Padstow.

The fishing boat Northern Lights plucked the three people from the water. They were then taken ashore by the RNLI's Rock inshore lifeboat.

One person was taken to the Royal Cornwall Hospital with back injuries.

The speedboat was later towed back by Northern Lights and the inshore lifeboat.
