A jeweller in Cornwall said he would not be intimidated by "uninvited guests" after a smash-and-grab raid.
A rock was thrown through the window of the Time and Motion shop in Liskeard and a quantity of jewellery taken.
After the incident on Tuesday afternoon proprietor Bobby Muchmore said: "We won't give in to any uninvited guest and we're not stopping on this one."
A man has been arrested and is in custody at Launceston Police Station. Police are hunting for three other men.
Campsite visitors
None of the shop's staff were injured in the raid, but a neighbouring shop-owner received a gash on his right arm when he tackled a man leaving the jewellers.
The men police want to question were believed to be in a black Volkswagen Golf and may have been staying at a campsite in Cornwall.
They were described as being aged between 30 and 45.
One was described as having light brown hair and was wearing a cream woollen jumper.
The second was described as having dark hair but balding, and wearing a dark shirt with a light coloured vertical stripe.
The third man was described as of stocky build, with an unkempt appearance and greasy hair. He was wearing a beige coloured shirt and light coloured trousers.
The arrested man was a 25-year-old from Kent, police said.
