A teenage holidaymaker is lucky to be alive after falling 60ft (18.3m) down a cliff on to rocks in Cornwall, coastguards said.
The 18-year-old, believed to be from Birmingham, fell after climbing Porth Island at Newquay.
The man, who has not been identified, fell, hitting rocks on the way, into the sea and swam to a ledge.
He suffered only cuts and bruises in the fall on Saturday and was winched to safety by a cliff rescue team.
A Coastguard spokesman said "He was then checked over by paramedics who were concerned he may have ingested sea water.
"But they deemed he was well enough go on his way.
"He was very lucky indeed."
