A steam engine rally in Cornwall has been called off because of the effects of recent bad weather.
The two-day West of England Steam Rally was due to be held in St Agnes next weekend, but heavy rain has left the ground too soft.
The event was expected to attract thousands of visitors and exhibitors.
Organisers said it was with "sincere regret" that they had decided to cancel but the site was now impractical for many steam engines and other vehicles.
"The committee has made this decision after much thought and will now consider the options for the 2009 rally," the organisers said.
"We offer our apologies to the many supporters of the steam rally."
