Serious crash closes major road

A30 road closed

A major road in Cornwall was closed after a serious accident involving two motorbikes and a car.

One person was taken to hospital by air ambulance.

For several hours after the crash the A30 at Hayle in Cornwall was closed to traffic on both carriageways, which caused travel delays.

The road was shut in order for fire crews and police to carry out an investigation into the possible cause of the crash.
