Woman advertised Cornwall brothel

A woman who helped run a Cornwall brothel attracted men from around the South West with a series of newspaper adverts, a court heard.

Nicola Fenton, 38, admitted assisting the management of the brothel at Illogan, near Camborne, in 2005.

Fenton, of Albion Road, Helston, now faces a confiscation hearing where police will try to claim back thousands of pounds.

Her case, at Exeter Crown Court, was adjourned for pre-sentence reports.

Simon Laws, prosecuting, said: "Her involvement in the management was wider then paying the rent.

"She was advertising in local newspapers for clients."

After the case, investigating officer Det Con Richard Etches said: "She advertised in the back of newspapers and many people would be surprised at how far clients will travel to visit a brothel."
